Why ISO?
Although I was born into a Muslim family, many of my questions about Islam remained unanswered. My family explained that they themselves had not learned it better from their parents. Amidst the conflicting influences of a freedom-loving democracy on one hand and communist ideologies on the other in my homeland, it was difficult to find trustworthy scholars. And that's exactly what it's about:
Whom can we trust?
The concept of "right" and "wrong" changes over time, but Islam is timeless. Allah's laws for us are of timeless significance. I firmly believe that if we prioritize culture over religion, we are sure to go astray. Cultural influences can cause even Muslims to overlook the truth.
Do we want to face Allah as Arabs, Afghans, Turks, Germans, or as sincere Muslims?
Especially in non-Muslim countries, it is a challenge to hold onto our faith. But now we have the opportunity to gain authentic knowledge from qualified graduates, even if we cannot live and study in Medina ourselves.
"Allah certainly loves the good-doers." [2:195]. And the more knowledge we acquire, the more good we can do, and the stronger our connection to Allah will become, inshaAllah.
So let us build the most beautiful connection to Allah by becoming seekers of knowledge.
Our ummah needs more scholars who draw their knowledge from the Quran and the Sunnah. So start studying, understanding, and spreading knowledge.
Perhaps Allah has a greater plan for you?
